FMP, by videoing the dance steps, i can take different stages of the routine, and draw on on top to see what outcomes i get.

I cam across a graphic designer called Yulia Brodskaya who inspired me with her delicate paper graphics. I loved the movement the pieces seemed to have, and the bright colors are fantastic, it made me feel of the emotions you feel when you dance with the swirls, the colors and the movement of the pieces. I would love to interrupt her style into mine by using her technique (quilling) to maybe incorporate it into my exhibition on a larger scale.

Michael Shirley has produced various graphics, animations and the use of photography on his website, i was interested in the visuals that he had from using interactive sound. As i want to produce visuals that express sound i found this very useful.

i loved the idea of the exhibition space being apart of my animation, and this animation is a good example of my thinking. Again the colors, shapes and movements all go in time with the music.

i started to look at different animations using sound i found this website with lots of examples i picked a couple which i was inspired by the most. i love in this animation the coordination between the beat of the music with the movement, and colors that identify the music.

FMP

I have always had a passion for dance, from a young age i have studied ballet, modern, tap, and street danceing but my ultimate favourite was tap. The amount of concentration needed to get the timing right to the music has always fascinated me, and more and more moves and styles of tap are being created. My main inspiration has to be Bill Bojangles Robinson he was the most famous of all African American tap dancers in the twentieth century. Dancing upright and swinging, his light and exacting footwork brought tap “up on its toes” from an earlier flat-footed shuffling style, and developed the art of tap dancing to a delicate perfection.
He still is one of the best tap dancers to this day.

I want to create several dances of my own with various music, and then create visual graphic pieces that reflect the sounds, movements and emotions of the rhythm, which i want to publish in a book. I want to mainly concentrate on the sound of the different taps and various speeds and create an animation which wouldnt be noticeable as tap dancing but which would show all of the passion and training used to create such an amazing art.

then added a shephere and used the array button again and submerged them into my oridinal object

then i have pressed the array button which creates my object in a circle shape simular to one of my beads

using the symetry tool to duplicate by object facing into each other, and then moving them close together to create a more interesting shape.

using the bevel and matrix tool to extend the tip into a point

again extruding the shape using the iner extruder as well to create a different level
